LONDON (AP) — Luis Scola scored 22 points to help Argentina beat winless Nigeria 93-79 in the men's Olympic basketball tournament on Saturday.
Carlos Delfino finished with 18 points and Andres Nocioni added 17 for Argentina, which quickly took control of the game and raced to a 37-19 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Argentina (3-1) led by as many as 26 before taking a 57-37 lead at halftime.
Nocioni and Leonardo Gutierrez each hit all three of their 3-point attempts as Argentina was eight for 11 from beyond the arc in the first half and made 10 of 16 3-pointers during the game.
Ike Diougu led Nigeria with 16 points and Derrick Obasohan had 15. Nigeria was coming off an 83-point loss to the U.S.
Argentina plays the Americans on Monday.
