OSLO, Norway (AP) — American midfielder Mix Diskerud has signed with Norway's Rosenborg for the rest of 2012.
Diskerud was presented by Rosenborg late Thursday. He previously played for Norway's Stabaek and Belgium's Ghent.
Rosenborg sporting director Erik Hoftun told a Norwegian news agency they had hoped the midfielder's contract would have been longer, but Diskerud only signed until the end of the year to get "acquainted" with the team.
The 21 year-old, who was born in Oslo, has an American mother and a Norwegian father. Diskerud has made two appearances for the U.S. national team and was part of the American under-23 team that failed to qualify for the London Olympics.
