UPDATE, 7:53 a.m.: Cesar Steven Martinez was found unharmed overnight in the District Heights area with his father, Prince George's County police said. Charges are pending against his father, Julio Cesar Arriaza. A police spokesman said that the legality of how Arriaza got his son is under investigation, as is the rest of the case. The AMBER alert has been canceled.
ORIGINAL POST: Maryland State police have issued an AMBER alert for one-year-old Cesar Steven Martinez. The Prince George's County boy was allegedly abducted by his father Julio Cesar Arriaza.
The child is described as Hispanic, weighing about 18 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
His father is described as Hispanic, 5'4" and 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, reports said
Arriaza is believed to be driving a green 2006 Chevy Equinox SUV with Maryland tag 7AG6950. The vehicle was last seen Aug. 21 near Nimitz Road in District Heights, Md.
