Alexandria officials will host a pair of public meetings Tuesday on two of the more controversial topics they face: parking and development of the city's waterfront.

The Alexandria Waterfront Commission will meet at 7:30 a.m. in Room 2000 of City Hall to discuss development at 220 South Union St.

The Old Town Area Parking Study Work Group will meet in the same room from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to discuss residential parking permit policies and a handicap parking permit program.

Materials for both meetings are available on the City of Alexandria's website.
