GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Federal land managers have asked a judge to reverse their approvals for about 400 gas wells in Garfield County.
The U.S. Bureau of Land Management wants to send the drilling plans back for further environmental analysis.
According to the Glenwood Springs Post Independent (http://tinyurl.com/cb5flgp ), the agency wants a federal judge to rule on three separate drilling plans submitted to the BLM by Antero Resources Piceance Corp., WPX and Laramie Energy II.
The three plans called for drilling about 400 gas wells. Antero sought to drill in North Castle Springs, WPX in Spruce Creek, and Laramie in West Mamm.
