A man was sentenced to four years in federal prison Monday after evidence revealed he had defrauded the federal government in a $300 million Pentagon ammunition contract. Efraim Diveroli, 25, the president of Miami Beach-based AEY Inc. pleaded guilty to a conspiracy involving the illegal shipment of Chinese bullets to Afghan forces allied with the U.S. , according to the Associated Press. Four other men have been convicted in the scheme to defraud the government. "We know corruption runs rampant in Afghanistan," a government official told The Washington Examiner. "What we don't know is how many more are involved in corruption schemes here (U.S.)."
