Two men have been charged after officers seized about 115 pounds of marijuana from their truck during a highway stop, Fairfax County police said Monday.
Police said Alexis Paz, 38, and Felix Rodriguez, 45, both of Miami, were charged after officers stopped their 18-wheeler on an equipment violation on the Capital Beltway near Van Dorn Street. Authorities said they found the marijuana in the truck's trailer when the men were stopped at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Both men have been charged with transporting controlled substances into Virginia and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. Paz has also been charged with possession of cocaine.
