The Koch brothers funded Americans for Prosperity, a fiscal conservative activist group, is planning a massive $25-$27 million anti-Obama ad buy in 11 states over the three weeks leading up to the Republican National Convention.
The group's goal: paint President Obama as a poor fiscal manager who didn't keep his word to slash the deficit. In one ad, they use interview clips in the 30-second ad that feature Obama acknowledging that he will be held accountable if he doesn't make good on his promise to halve the deficit in his first term, which he hasn't. "If I don't have this done in three years, then this will be a one term proposition."
